One minute you are making weekend plans, going to New England to be the best man in your brother's wedding, livin' the dream but literally, one second later, your life is turned upside down. Sandy and Ray have raised their children and recently entered the stage in their life where they start doing things for themselves. But last Wednesday evening, Ray was making a left-hand turn onto a busy roadway with a green light. At the same time, a tractor-trailer approached the intersection and collided with the driver side door of his Toyota Tacoma. Sandy had spoken to him only 7 minutes before the call came into 911 regarding the accident. SEVEN MINUTES prior, everything was normal in their lives. Now, Ray is in ICU with a machine breathing for him, multiple fractures (his entire face, all of his ribs, etc...) a punctured lung and SOOO much more. Ray is looking at a very, very long recovery but right now he is fighting for his life. Sandy is unable to go to work right now as she needs to be by his side. Every day there seems to be more health issues and they change from one minute to the next. Sandy lives about 30 miles away from the hospital. She drives home once a day to shower and check on her pets. She spends the rest of her time in the ICU or waiting room, even sleeping in her car. As you can imagine, the expenses will be astronomical and PTO will run out very quickly for both of them. Please consider donating, any little bit will help. We will continue to offer our support from this end, but please know, your prayers and donations are appreciated.
