**Friends and family of Chris Moore here, as we are helping spearhead this initiative for Chris in his time of grief. Some of you may have contributed to the original GoFundMe campaign set up on July 11th. We want you to know all of those gracious donations have been refunded (or are in the process of getting refunded) so that we can set up this new campaign.

Part of Chris wanting to honor Lacie’s legacy—respecting the wishes of others in her life; some of which did not agree with the original GoFundMe messaging—which is why Chris immediately shut that one down and we started this new one from scratch. Thank you for understanding.**

The world lost a shining light and the Moore family’s guiding star on July 9th, 2020 when Lacie Weddle Moore succumbed to the health complications that hospitalized her for her 40th birthday and final month of her life.

As her husband, Chris’s heart, soul, and world have been shattered. Her dream was to grow old with Chris, after a well-lived life together—something they’ve both been robbed of by way of her untimely passing.

Chris and Lacie were friends for 15 years before reconnecting later in life and falling in love; two single parents with shared core values putting their kids first, while living their best lives. Engaged in the summer of 2018 and married in August 2019, Chris now finds himself planning how to memorialize his new bride instead of celebrating their first wedding anniversary in the coming weeks.

Sadly, this is not the first life-altering tragedy Chris and his son Maddox (13) have endured, as the two unexpectedly lost Maddox’s mother Alex on Christmas Eve in 2013.

It was Lacie who helped Chris and Maddox rise from the ashes years back—teaching the Moore boys how to laugh, love and smile again. Just as this forever-story was getting underway for this beautiful blended family, Chris and Maddox are forced to rebuild again.
 
This is a time for family and friends to grieve their loss and to celebrate all the joy and love Lacie brought to this world.

Our goal with this GoFundMe is to help the Moore family carry on Lacie’s legacy and cover any future bills or expenses in the coming months in this unexpected tragedy as they are forced to start over once again.
