The Monty Animal Shelter In Mexico
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Ethan. I’m an American college student studying in Mexico. I encountered a heartbreaking issue here in Mexico and I had to get involved. I have dogs that I love at home, so getting here and seeing so many homeless and sick street dogs, I honestly felt saddened AND motivated. So, I discovered a heartfelt animal shelter named the Monty Animal Shelter that is trying to make a difference. This is one of the few dog shelters located in Puebla, Mexico. The owners of the shelter, José and Carmen, have dedicated their lives to saving dogs and have literally told me this was their "mission in life".
They save dogs suffering from abuse, hunger, injury, and illnesses. It’s a thankless and endless goodwill mission. They desperately need money to allow them to continue this beautiful work. They are not wealthy people and are barely scraping by getting enough food and buying the necessary medications and treatments for the dogs they take in. They even run a veterinary clinic that offers highly discounted immunizations for dogs who probably would never get immunized. The clinic doesn't even have a refrigerator for medications! Thus, they told me that every time a dog is scheduled to come in, they have to go out and get the immunization due to the lack of refrigeration.
This money goes directly to José and Carmen, allowing them to continue operations, make basic improvements to their clinic and the shelter … AND MOST IMPORTANTLY…keep taking in and saving these dogs.
Please consider a small donation.
Thank you for caring :)
