The Monterosa Cat Project
Donation protected

Our goal is to get ALL the cats fixed, vaccinated and vetted. From our initial visit, it was clear that there are cats there with parasites, ringworm and upper respiratory infections. And that was just what what obvious, as we know that there are probably lots of other issues that aren’t visible to the naked eye. After we get the cats fixed and vetted, the friendly sociable ones will be put up for adoption through our rescues (BARK and All About Animals) Cats that are not socialized (feral) or candidates for adoption would go back to the area once they are healthy enough. We would like to also provide the family with a better feeding station (the cats are currently eating off the ground) and a good amount of supplies. We’ve already taken in one of the most pregnant moms, along with the day old kitten, but want to make sure we get everyone treated.
We are hoping to get most of the spay/neuter surgeries scheduled through the Animal Defense League of Arizona, which would be $25 per surgery. However, that does not cover any vaccinations, extended pain medication or treatments like ear flushes or flea treatment. We’ve tentatively put the goal at $850, but anticipate that the expenses will most certainly exceed that. While we do have our respective rescues backing to help with future adoptions and supplies, we desperately need help to cover these surgeries and treatments. These cats need help ASAP and the last thing we want is any more kittens being born into these conditions.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any assistance. We’ll be posting frequent updates and all expense invoices on here. We don’t take ANY donation for granted, and want to make sure we remain transparent about how every dollar is being spent.
