The Mo Family Medical Fund - Overcoming TED

This fundraiser is organized by Colleen and Amanda for our dear friends the Mo family, in particular Andy Mo.

Anyone who has known Andy, is aware that he is such a hard worker and amazing husband to Jess, and caring father to his four loving children.

Andy was diagnosed with Graves Disease around 8 years ago, where his thyroid was removed in hopes to cure his symptoms.

Unfortunately, over the past year he’s been experiencing symptoms and has recently been diagnosed with a severe case of TED. TED (Thyroid Eye Disease) is an autoimmune disorder where one's Thyroid overproduces hormones and affects the eye muscles and surrounding fatty tissue - thus causing vision complications. In Andy’s case, he is already experiencing vision loss. On top of receiving this devastating news, he now is unable to work, nor drive which he can no longer provide for his family which he has always done so graciously.

Having been the main source of income for his family, they will sadly face some financial struggles along with Jess having to bear much of the typical shared responsibilities onto herself.

Due to the severity of Andy’s diagnosis, thankfully he is starting a treatment called Tepezza. Although this treatment provides hope for recovery, this treatment requires several months of therapy which is also very costly.

This fundraiser is set up in hopes to offset any medical expenses along with help with supporting the family during this challenging time.
