The Millers Go To Africa

For the past 10 years Cody and I both have felt the Lord call us to travel and minister in different countries. Earlier this year the Lord began to speak to me about Africa. I told Cody what I felt the Lord telling me and that I felt like we needed to go to Africa this year. Going to Africa has been in Cody's heart for a while and what I told him resonated with him. From that point we began to keep our ears open for opportunities. A week after my conversation with Cody I asked God to make it clear what organization/who we should go with to Africa. This same day while we were working in kid's ministry at church, a woman who had no idea what we were looking for concerning missions, approached us and said that she felt like we were a perfect fit for a team she was taking to Africa. She told us we would be ministering to pastors in Nairobi and children in the Kibera slums, the second largest slum in the world. We have both had so many prophetic words concerning working with children we knew in that moment this was the trip for us.
Since then we began preparations to go with this group from our church in conjunction with a non-profit organization based in Lexington Kentucky called Seed to Tree Ministries. 6 of us will be going to Nairobi this summer for 2 weeks from June 25th-July 9th.
While in Kenya we will be ministering to children at a school in the Kibera slums. While there through teaching, worship and fun activities we will have the honor of releasing the Father's love to these children. We hope to convey how intrinsically loved they are and how perfectly made they are. After this we will be hosting a pastor's conference in Nairobi for local pastors. Our goal at the conference will be to continue to build up the body of Christ through worship and teachings on the the Father's heart and the message of grace that we have through Jesus Christ. There are other ministry opportunities we will have while there that are continuing to be planned for our trip.
We are so thankful for this wonderful opportunity to share the love of God to those in Africa. It is a dream come true! As you can imagine a lot of expenses come with this trip so we are asking that you prayerfully consider how to partner with us through this ministry opportunity. All funds received will contribute to expenses related to this trip whether for accommodations, food, supplies for the children's ministry and pastors conference and flights.
