Hello my name is Tami Luttrell and we are starting this campaign to be able to raise money for the Mike Mueller Cancer Care Fund.
Mike Mueller is 58 years of age and Married to a loving and caring woman Tina Mueller. They have 6 childred total(1- 13yr that still lives with them) and 11 grandchildren. He loves the Cubs ,riding roller coasters, spending time with family and friend, playing pool, and loves to travel!
Unfortunately, Mike was diagnosed in October 2016 with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. Tina and MIke were on their way to Six Flags (Mike is a big fan of rollor coasters) when Mike started to not feel well. Tina took Mike to hospital before leaving town. That is when they heard the awful news no one wants to hear...CANCER...Mikehas been fighting this diagnoses since finding out. Mike has been put through 34 round of radiation, 5 single doses of chemo and 1 triple dose of chemo, needless to say he is a trooper!! He was to recieve another round of "triple chemo" but Mike became sick again and in Jan 2017 Mike was Diagnosed with Necrotizing Pneunmonia Jan 23, 2017 and had to be on a very expesive antibotic. Due to that he can NO LONGER have Chemo and doctors are trying to get Mike started on new meds called Obdivo or Keytruda (theses are meds that people take when they no longer can take chemo).
Since finding all this out Mike has been unable to work and he was the bread winner in the family! Mike does get a little from Social Security but as you can imagine it is alot less than when he was able to work full time. Tina is empolyed full time , as well as, the sole care taker for Mike. Tina is now faced with trying to find a second job to be able to make the monthly living cost or anything extra to help comfort Mike. Unfortunately, that would mean Tina would not be able to be there to help take care of Mike (her husband) if she is forced to get a second job!
We are asking for any help to provide for this loving family in their time of need. They recently have had issuse's with the lifters in the motor of their car and if not fixed Tina will have no way to get to work or get Mike to the doctors! This is looking to cost at least $1000.00 to get fixed. The other ways this money will be used is to help pay their rent up a few months and to help them travel to see the Cubs game (one of Mike's wishes) ,as Mike is a huge Cubs Fan, as they even dressed in their best Cubs attire :) for their wedding !! Tina is a Red Sox fan but says she would wear Cubs attire anytime for Mike! :)
This money will be able to help them live daily lives and take care of the expenses with less financial stress ,as Mike has a small Life insurance policy for funeral but still needs to buy a plot and that cost is $2000.00.
