THE MEXICO JOURNEYS BOOK DESIGN AND PRINTING

Join me, Annie Appel, on this final push to complete "The Mexico Journeys." This photo documentary is a roadmap of what it takes to connect with others over time, space and cultures, and is the reward of a sustained, unhurried connection. Spanning 23 years, the work utilizes long-form photojournalism and journal entries to amplify the voices of the global south via the documentation of Maria, her family, and their journey. What unfolds is a universal story about friendship, trust, and how strangers can become family.
I have recently succeeded in editing over 20,000 photographs down to 413 photographs, and have cut 1,500 pages of journal entries down to 200 pages.
Now I need your support to finish the design and printing of the book that will bring this photographic essay to life. Your contribution, no matter the amount, plays a pivotal role in turning this dream into a reality. Every dollar counts in making sure the essence of "The Mexico Journeys" is beautifully preserved and shared with the world.
These funds will be used for final design of the book, both in English and in Spanish, by a renowned book designer, who has created over 60 art books and 100 exhibition graphics for museums worldwide, winning more than 50 design awards, including the prestigious George Wittenborn award for best North American artbook and the American Federation of Arts (AAM) best exhibition graphics in North America.
Funds will also be used to print copies of the book for the family members.

Let's come together and create something extraordinary!
