The Mernagh Family - Fire Fund

I don't even know how to share what happened. On Wednesday, March 6th, my in-laws lost their home of over 30 years through the destruction of a fire. Thank God that nobody was injured in this fire, as Tom and Nancy were not home at the time. Sadly, the house that Tom built and their three children grew up in will never be the same.

Tom and Nancy are very caring people, frequently serving others at the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield. Even after this devastating fire, Nancy spent the day helping me prepare a community dinner on March 8th at the church. They have lovingly supported my wife (Nicole) and my desire to care for children in Foster Care. Their three children, Michelle, Nicole and Craig, no longer live at home, but had frequently gathered at their parent's home for holidays and celebrations since they moved out. 

We are asking that you first lift up your prayers for Nancy and Tom as this has been a devastating loss. Further, lift up prayers for their children as they experience the loss of their childhood home. We are asking that you please consider opening your hearts to help the Mernaghs with any donation you can provide at this time. I know many people from our church, community and friends have asked how they can help.

Any assistance would be great to help them out. These funds go directly to Tom and Nancy to help them with their immediate needs.

The cover photo is of a cross that must have fallen from burned wood and blown into the middle of the backyard - away from all the other destruction. It is a reminder that even in the midst of a terrible loss, God is still with the Mernagh's.
