The Meredith Family needs our help

On behalf of their respective families, we are asking you to consider helping our dear friends Drew and Meghan Meredith.

On May 26, 2025, Drew was the victim of a severe, life-altering collision in south Ottawa, Ontario. While driving to work at approximately 6:30 AM Monday morning, a dump truck veered into oncoming traffic on Hawthorne Road near Findlay Creek, catapulting his car into a nearby ditch. The collision was so severe it was reported on both CTV News and City News:

Miraculously, he survived the crash, despite numerous injuries (broken pelvis, broken sternum, broken ribs, broken arm, elbow, two broken legs, and broken knees). While the initial surgeries went well, subsequent surgeries will be necessary. Drew is facing a long, difficult road to recovery. He has already undergone multiple procedures / surgeries with more to come in the coming days. He will require extensive rehabilitation. Due to the surgeries that still lie ahead, his recovery timeline is unknown.

We are heartbroken by the impact this will have on Drew, his wife Meghan and their one-year old son Lachlan. For those of you who know Drew and Meghan, they are the most loving parents to Lachlan, are the kindest friends you could ask for and are pillars of support for many young parents in their neighbourhood. When you are going through a hard day or period in your life, there is no one better than Drew and Meghan to have in your corner - they always lend a compassionate ear, bring a dose of humour and offer unconditional support. Now they need our help.
