After a brave decision to take an early partial retirement from the fire department in 2020 due to PTSD (hypervigilance syndrome), depression, and anxiety, Buster has been making progress in his recovery with the help of psychiatric medications and physiotherapy. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when Cheryl, Buster's devoted wife of 30years, underwent two neck surgeries in May and June. The stress of these surgeries, coupled with the financial burden of both Buster and Cheryl being out of work during their recovery, proved to be overwhelming for Busterand he has been unable to work since then, leaving him without any income.
