Tacoma has shown up in a way we will never forget. ❤️❤️❤️

Since launching the fundraiser, the Washington State Department of Revenue has officially revoked our business license. This changes the structure of what it takes to reopen. Instead of entering a payment plan at the $40,000 mark, the full balance must now be satisfied in order to reinstate the license.

That’s a bigger mountain.

But we’ve never been afraid of hard work!!!

We are actively collaborating with local entrepreneurs, fellow business owners, attorneys, our CPA, and government officials to determine the strongest and smartest path forward. We are exploring every responsible option available to continue building and rebuilding.

In the meantime:

• Funds raised are being applied directly toward the DOR balance

• Necessary business expenses

• Legal and professional fees required to navigate this process

• Essential living expenses that allow us to remain stable and focused on executing a responsible recovery plan

Every dollar is going toward forward movement.

We want you to know something clearly: your donations, your shares, your messages — they matter more than you know.

The encouragement has been powerful. It fuels us. It reminds us that Melon Seed was never just about sliders and froyo — it’s about people and our community.
