The Melody Lopez Cancer Treatment Fundraiser

Over the past few months, Melody has been fighting some health issues. She underwent testing in an attempt to identify the cause of her continued symptoms. On May 14th, Melody and her husband Ryan heard the word no one ever wants to hear; cancer. Melody’s oncologist quickly referred her to MD Anderson, a cancer treatment facility in Houston, where her doctors are working to determine a treatment plan that is best for her.

Melody will be traveling between Wichita and Houston for additional testing and treatment. A large part of her treatment plan will include a major surgery that requires she and Ryan be in Houston for several weeks. In addition to the mounting medical bills, Melody and Ryan will be off work during their trips to Houston and will be paying lodging and travel expenses.

While we don't have all the answers yet, one thing we do know is there will be some tough times ahead. Finances should be the last thing on her family's minds and we want them to be able to focus their energy into supporting each other instead.
