The Mel Mission

Mel Koehler is loved for many reasons. He's friendly, fun, caring, and always ready to listen to and help out his friends.

Now, it's time for us to be there for Mel and his family.

Mel's in the process of getting a liver transplant. The surgery and recovery will be a long, challenging process, and while insurance covers a lot of the expenses of a transplant, it doesn't cover everything.

On top of Mel's sickness and needed transplant, Kallie, Mel's wife, was recently laid off from her job. While this certainly places additional financial burdens on their family, it does give Kallie time to care for Mel. Mel’s medical staff requires her to either be with Mel 24/7 or arrange for someone to be with him. Due to this, she won't be able to search for another job for several months.
