The Megee Jones’s Flood Fund
Donation protected
Find out how to help our friends Hannah, Luke & Laurie who’ve been deeply affected by the Harberton flood.
After a wild and stormy night Hannah awoke and descended her stairs to find her living room submerged. The TV face down and floating in 2-3 feet of red flood water.
The community rallied around and helped drain and shovel, barrow after barrow of mud out of their Victorian terrace and other homes in the lovely village of Harberton.
The Megee Jones’s are currently evacuated from their home while finding out what happens next. The clean up continues in earnest…
They’ve lost their white goods, kitchen and living room furniture, books, toys, artwork and soft furnishings on the ground floor. And with no contents insurance the future looks daunting. Luke has been working around the clock trying to clear their home and Hannah, still recovering from a life changing fall, is trying to get all the proverbial ducks in a row for the building assessors insurance.
They could use your help! The hard work only starts after the excitement has died down.
We’ve got a MEAL TRAIN which you can join soon! Watch this space...
And of course… any monetary donation, big or small, would go a long way to getting them back on their feet.
