Hey everyone,

You may know that Rob & Faith McLean took their 3 kids on a long-overdue family vacation at the end of July. Just a few days into their trip to Calgary, Rob started feeling ill and was having severe pain in his upper leg. Faith took him to Emerg to get checked out. Unfortunately, he hasn’t left the hospital since then, and that was over 2 weeks ago.

It turned out that he was diagnosed with a dangerous flesh-eating disease, and if not caught quick, this could cause death within 1-2 days! So although this interrupted their vacation, it was very fortunate that the family was in Calgary instead of the Yukon, as Rob now has access to excellent health care and 4 medical teams following his case at the moment!

At this point, the McLeans have had to stay in Calgary for more than 2 weeks now, and there is no discharge dates or transition planning in sight, until the docs know for sure that the infection is 100% gone. This means that Rob and Faith are both missing work and that ultimately, the financial burden will start to cause unneeded stress when they need to focus on healing and getting home.

Let’s rally together to see how we can help ease their financial burden! They just ‘might’ be too proud to ask for help themselves, so I wanted to start the Go Fund Me for them! I’m a friend of Faith’s and, it just so happens, that I’m her supervisor as well. I am connecting this Go Fund Me to their bank account, not mine - so it goes directly to Rob and Faith.
