My dad suffered a VERY sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest. 911 was called and within minutes they were there to take over CPR. They intubated him and put him on a ventilator. He was flown to Roanoke where he was stabilized. His heart is now beating in a normal rhythm and he is on a ventilator requiring some assistance breathing. He is sedated and on medication to keep him comfortable. My mom, Sara plans to stay by his side as much as she is allowed to until he shows signs of improvement. She has to stay in a near by hotel in order to be close to him while not in visiting hours. As of right now we are unaware of any medical bills but I’m sure that with a life flight and CCU bed it’s going to be a source of stress on them when he’s recovered.
