The McDill Family

The McDill family could use all of the prayers, support, and love they can get during this trying time.

Beautiful Baylor was born on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, though not without complications for both himself and Ashley. After spending three days in the NICU, Baylor and Ash were finally able to go home, where Baylor got to meet his big brother Brooks for the first time.

One month later, as the McDills were adjusting to life with their new family of six (y'all know I can't leave out Roscoe or Milo), things took a turn. On Saturday, February 11, Ash witnessed Baylor have a seizure and immediately rushed him to the hospital. Baylor was ultimately diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and streptococcus A and was admitted to the PICU.

While Baylor is expected to remain hospitalized for a minimum of 14 days, Ash and BJ have been doing their absolute best to care for both of their boys, taking turns spending time with Brooks and Baylor. Baylor has been steadily improving, giving Ash and BJ some much-needed relief!

However, this poor family just cannot catch a break. On Thursday, February 16, Ash was home spending time with Brooks, when their house was struck by lightning. They now have to replace their kitchen appliances, water heater, television, and other electronics. Additionally, their home sustained structural damage, which led to water intrusion that damaged the master bedroom flooring.

Throughout everything, Ashley and BJ have remained incredibly strong and gracious. They have a very long road ahead of them with both Baylor's recovery and the necessary repairs to their home. During this difficult time, money is the last thing the McDills should be concerned about. Any monetary support you can offer is sincerely appreciated!
