Peggy and Tony Manville’s son-in-law, Brian McCormick, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Brian is married to their daughter, Mary and is daddy to their 4-year-old little boy, Connor. Brian’s cancer is a very rare, incurable cancer that does not respond well to treatment. Brian had recently started a job at Commonwealth Edison. Since he was unable to complete the probationary period due to his cancer diagnosis, ComEd released him leaving them in a very precarious financial situation. At this time, Brian is not able to get another job due to the side effects of the cancer and the treatment.
Fortunately, Brian has been chosen to participate in a clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Although some of the trial is covered by a research fund, there are still medical, travel and housing costs that are not covered. The cost to treat any cancer, especially one as rare as the one Brian has, is often insurmountable and puts patients into bankruptcy.
Brian, Mary and Connor are truly the sweetest little family. They could use some help as they fight this horrible disease. Any amount that you can give will be so greatly appreciated. If you are unable to give financially, they would appreciate all prayers and positive, healing energy that you can send their way.
