The McCarl-Swain Family

Hi, my name is Heather and I am organizing a fundraiser for the McCarl-Swain family.

As you may know, Christina was involved in a jeeping accident while camping. While specific details as to how it happened are being reserved at this time, the basic fact is: she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, her lower body was ran over, which caused a significant fall onto rocks. Christina was driven to memorial hospital where they determined she needed to be airlifted to Harborview.

Christina's injuries include: Hairline fractures to her skull. Some bruising and a hematoma to the front of her brain. Hairline fracture to her right cheekbone. She broke 6 of her teeth, broken ribs on her right side, some road rash, a large hematoma on her right hip, both legs are broken, both ankles are broken, and both feet are broken.

Christina has been moved out of the ICU, and the doctors have performed surgery on one of her feet so far.

While she will be ok, she has a very long road to recovery and can use all of the love and support we can give her!

Luke & Christina live in a tri-level home, making this home wheelchair accessible is going to take a lot. We are hoping to gather funds to purchase equipment and/or do any necessary construction to the home, so that Christina can navigate her way around her home, care for their 4 young children, and have a sense of normalcy once she is released from the hospital.
