The Mawer Miracle

Hi friends,

Our family is walking through something we never thought we’d face again. Currey has recently been diagnosed with a new form of cancer. While we originally thought this was completely unrelated to the kind he overcame nine years ago, we have recently learned that it is directly related to the treatment given to him from the prior cancer.

After nearly a decade cancer-free, this news has come as a shock. We’re navigating a whirlwind of appointments, decisions, and emotions—but we are not navigating it alone.

We are standing in full faith, believing in God’s power to heal completely. While this journey has been extraordinarily difficult, we do not fear. Our trust is in a God who is bigger than every diagnosis, and we’re leaning into His strength each and every day. God’s word has the final say, not man’s. The Lord said “I will restore health to you and your wounds I will heal!” (Jeremiah 30:17) We are decreeing and declaring that Currey is healed by the blood of the Lamb and is already overcoming every circumstance by the power of God. A lot of you will know, our family motto is Hope Changes Everything!

Currey is currently unable to work, and the financial burden has become significant. Between multiple hospital stays, medical procedures, and the pursuit of very costly alternative therapies, the expenses are overwhelming. On top of that, we are working to care for our family of six and maintain a sense of normalcy for our children during this time. Ryder is ready for his “Currey Daddy” to be home and better than new! Pray for our girls as they navigate big feelings and learn more about how God turns what the enemy meant for evil, into good.

It’s not easy for us to ask for help. We were humbled 12 years ago with the cancer journey and the Lord had to teach us how to receive from the body of Christ and it was a blessing. If you feel led to support us financially, share our story, or stand with us and believe for our mighty miracle, we would be so grateful. Your love and generosity remind us that we are not walking this road alone.

As Charles Sineath used to say, “Good News, Good News, Good News!” Jesus has overcome it ALL!

Love and blessings,
Whitney and Currey
Ryder, Emma, Amelia and Wren
