The Martin’s Home Fire Recovery Fund

Hello! My name is Laurie and I’m starting this fund to help The Martin’s, a family of 6 that recently returned home to the KC Metro from Florida. On April 14th, less than a month after moving, a kitchen fire occurred while they were preparing dinner. Everyone escaped safely, but there is extensive damage to nearly everything in the home. Renter’s insurance only covers a month’s worth of the family being displaced and the build back of the home will take approximately 3 months. All funds raised will be used for short term housing. The Dad is an Air Force veteran and the kids are trying to finish up their school year. I know the hearts of those in the Midwest.
