The Martin families unexpected tragedies

I am the mother of Kristy jo Martin age 36, Michael Lee Martin age 33 and grandma to Lakelynn age 18 who is graduating this year, Leelhan age 10 loralei age 5 and Lyetti age 4 Martin. I’m also the grandma to their four legged babies 8 month old Great Danes Volt and Nova. My son has always worked sense he was 12 years old. He has been with his wife for 15 amazing years and there has not been a day that went by that he hasn’t provided for his family. When he was 19 he got with her and took on the responsibility of raising her 4 year old daughter Lakelynn. I remember him saying the first day he met her she laid in the middle of JC Pennys throwing a tantrum because Kristy wouldn’t buy her a back massager that looked like a toy lol. He worked as a pizza delivery driver, a mechanic, retail you name it he did it to provide about 10 years ago he went and got his CDLs and has been driving truck every sense. He works long hours, over nights, over the road and local. For about 6 years now maybe more he has wanted to make owning his own trucking company a reality. When the covid hit and everyone took a layoff he choose to start his own hotshot trucking company. What a time right. He has been doing great he has his highs and lows with this crazy pandemic going on but he makes it happen he takes care of all their personal expenses, the company expenses, what they want to do for fun and money in the bank. They have helped others any way they can always. They have huge hearts. Kristy has had the luxury of being a stay at home mom and taking her kids to cheer practice, softball, tball, dance, gymnastics, football, basketball, cub scouts, you name it these kids do it. My daughter and  my son give their time to coach, host events for kids, volunteer and more. She does crafting on the side as well as event planning and photography. She has been through everything there is to break her and she’s still going. They have never had to have a hand out but they always give. They as a family have been through everything to rip them apart but they still push through because they are a family of god, they love each other they love their kids but above all they love the good lord. June makes a year they have had their trucking company that they both run together. On the cool foggy evening into the wee hours of the morning on May 15th 2021 Michael was just to tired and over worked himself, which coming from this family is nothing out of the ordinary. Plus everything else they have had happen up till this day. He dozed off and wrecked. They went airborne into a tree flipped on to a electric pole. (Pictures included) Kristy woke up screaming and got knocked back out, she woke up and he was ejected on top of her. She instantly felt trapped and pushed him off her, again she was out. She woke up to him screaming and crying where’s loralei where’s loralei. She instantly had adrenaline kick in screaming for their precious 5 year old as well as the others. Lakelynn said here she is mom. Lyettis entire car seat that her actual car seat was strapped to came unbolted from the floor board and went over on top and pinned their precious loralei jo in. Kristy hurried and unbuckled Lyetti and tossed her out to mike who was laying on the ground losing consciousness with his bone hanging out of his leg. Lakelynn tossed the seat and they got loralei out and with mike. Lakelynn then put her baby brother before herself and pushed him out to Kristy and he sat out there with the girls. The cop busted the back window and Kristy got the two dogs out volt and nova. The cat took off. Lakelynn wanted to help get everyone out before her self she’s such a wonderful soul. Then she got out. As the kids sat on the bank Kristy was cleaning up the scene of the accident the cops told her not to but she did until the adrenaline started coming down then she to dropped in severe pain. They was losing Michael so he had to be life flighted. Kristy and each child in a separate ambulance and room in the trauma unit. They took mike to emergency surgery where he was for a good 12 hours having two surgeries. He had a broken hip, broken femur, broken thumb, ribs and bleeding spleen as well as many cuts and bruises. They had to put bolts rods screws nuts nails all sorta metal to rebuild the hip and entire leg down to the knee cap. He had a third surgery due to a bleeding spleen. He may never walk again but he is pushing him self hard we pray to god he does but if not that’s another obstacle they will have to deal with later down the road. As for now he is wheel chair bound with no work, lots of appointments and self blame. Kristy sustained severe concussion, hematoma on the face and head with stitches cuts and bruising, broke ribs and something with her articular area of her hip cut up feet and broken tale bone as well as bruised pelvis. She’s going to be reevaluated due to some other tissues going on. She to can’t pick up pieces and go to work because she’s not able. She’s having a great deal of memory loss as well. If Michael wouldn’t have got ejected on top of her she wouldn’t be here she would be wrapped around a tree and I’d be making this post for funeral expenses. Lakelynn had some internal bruising Leelhan external bruising and emotional issues going on very scared to sleep or get in a car. Loralei has awful bruising, head and face injury and poor baby had a bleed behind the skin on the head but wasn’t on the brain some internal stomach bruising. Lyetti our little Lyetti she had not a thing wrong with her thank god besides some seat belt rash and was thrown into complete shock from being one red and shaking something fierce. She won’t leave her mamas side and has been real quiet. This family is use to always working and taking care of their self as well as many others My family don’t no Im doing this however they do no they need it more now than ever. This girl has witnessed her grandpa commit suicide, took care of her dying grandma with cancer, given to anyone she could. The entire family will do anything they can for anyone. She has beat cancer
twice now twice. They have a lot of expenses they have to figure out  ahead of them and neither being able to work and I’d like to run this and try to ease some of their worries. Please no if the shoe was on the other foot they would give their last penny to help someone else.
