She was rushed to the nearest trauma center, where doctors discovered she had a rare genetic disorder called Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). A rupture had occurred, causing extensive and irreversible damage to her brain.

The medical team did everything in their power, but Tirza was placed on life support, unable to breathe on her own. Her family was given the devastating news that she would never regain consciousness. After saying their final, heartbreaking goodbyes, Tirza was peacefully removed from life support and passed away.

In the midst of their unimaginable grief, the Martinez family is now facing the overwhelming weight of the medical expenses incurred from the emergency response, trauma center care, and life support.
