The Mann Family Fund

To know the Mann Family is to know brilliance, generosity, hilarity and fullness of life. Emily & Cory's twin boys were born with a rare metabolic condition--thanks to God and His work through modern medicine, they are doing well overall, but their care continues to be very costly. They require frequent, daily dosing of an expensive medication as well as regular imaging studies and visits with medical specialists. Oftentimes, these medical specialists require significant travel. Emily and Cory are grateful for the medical care their boys have already received and they graciously approach the road ahead.

On top of this, over the past year, Emily's health has rather suddenly and unexpectedly declined. As Emily would say, she is a medical "zebra". Through an extensive, on-going medical work-up, she has accumulated a list of several complex, rare, and challenging medical issues. There has been recent progress in reaching a diagnosis, however the road has been and continues to be unclear. Emily's current condition requires visits with medical specialists (also with significant travel), expensive medications, and home repair recommendations to limit Emily's exposure to offending agents. Anyone who knows Emily would agree that she is one of the most energetic, intelligent, and vigilant physicians. She is also a thoughtful, generous, and loyal friend. Though she is walking a challenging road with grace and courage, she is eager to regain strength and her capacity to give back to her family, friends, and patients.

Emily and Cory greatly appreciate your prayers and encouragement. They continue to feel the Lord's grace through the kindness of family and friends. However, the financial stress has continued to grow over the past few years and Emily's unanticipated illness has caused significant strain.
