Donation protected

The Manchester 100 Mile Bike Ride in support of the The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation.

On Sunday 5th September 2021, myself, Chris Burrows, Lee Jackson, Ian Chesworth, Jack Evans, Harry Macconnell & Mark Gaunt will be completing the Manchester 100 Mile Bike Ride in memory of my daughter Georgia for The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation. On the same day Kev Simpkins and the rest of the Blue Watch Crew based at Crewe Fire Station will also be completing the exact amount of miles on stationary bikes outside the Fire Station.

We are looking to raise as much money as possible for The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation so any support that you can show by sharing & donating would be greatly appreciated.

Here's our Story:-

On 26th June 2020 Georgia Leigh Ogden, also known as 'Gee' by her family and friends, sadly passed away as a result of a serious road traffic collision which happened on 25th June 2020 at the age of just 17 years old in the village of Astbury, Congleton. Gee was a truly amazing and loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend meaning that her loss has created a huge void that can never be filled. Gee’s beautiful, unique and sassy spirit touched every person she ever met; she had so much love to give and always managed to capture a room, whether it was through her dancing, singing, acting, dramatic flare or sharp wit. The world has been a more sombre place without her shine and she is missed beyond measure each and everyday.

The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation has been set up by Gee’s family in her memory and will aim to help improve the wellbeing of individuals living in the Cheshire & Staffordshire areas; in particular children & young people. The primary goal of the foundation is to help better the lives of those who are in need, which is something Gee would be so proud of due to her love of children and babies especially. Gee’s kind and loving nature will live on through this foundation and the individuals whom it will help. We hope that something positive can come out of this absolutely tragic and heartbreaking situation.

It is important to note that this foundation is currently in the process of registering with the Charity Commission to obtain a charity number. Despite this, all funds raised and work undertaken by The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation will meet both the aims and procedures as set out in the foundation’s governing document and the guidance found on the government’s website.

The charity’s purpose: to advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time, in particular but not exclusively by providing information, raising awareness and making grants for individuals living anywhere in the district of Cheshire and Staffordshire.

We thank you all for your support and in helping keep Georgia's memory alive x
