The Man • The Myth • The Legend “Junior Daoust”

Hi, my name is Cortney Bard. I am a close family friend to the Daoust family, whom many of you I’m sure already know ;) June 23, 2021 was a day this family will never forget. It was the day Junior was first diagnosed with colon cancer. This day was the beginning of no journey any family wants to go on. As this journey began for Junior he started off with Chemo / Radiation. All was going well and those treatments were finally behind them as of September 24th, 2021. Junior gets a phone call, one he had hoped to hear all along. REMISSION Anyone who knows this man knows he’s a tough son of a gun! He’s feeling great, working full time slaying wood. Mind you he IS 83 years old but he’s doing it and all with a smile on his face.

As of June 23, 2022 the world comes crashing down on them once again. It’s back, and stronger then ever. Only this time we find out it’s terminal. The doctors told him if he did chemo again he could possibly have 1 year, without it maybe 4 months. Anyone that has gone through a cancer journey knows it SUCKS. It sucks with medication and sucks without it. So as the journey comes to an end Junior has decided quality of life over quantity. He has chosen to not do treatments because if he’s terminal he’d rather enjoy life to it’s fullest and be as present as he possibly can be.

As Junior closes out this chapter of life he leaves behind his beloved wife Terri and 2 daughters Audrey & Darcie. This family has been hit with nothing but tragedy just this past year between his own cancer battle and losing not only 1 but 2 sons within the same year.

So as I write this I’m writing for your help in honor of Junior and his family. With the losing battle of this awful disease his poor wife will be left with everything and nothing at the same time. So I’ve created this to ask for help to cover medical expenses, funeral services, personal debt that will pile up, etc.
