Hope for Mary Hope

Please take a minute to help out our friend Mary Hope Maio and her incredible family! Mary is a very loving and giving woman who has been stricken with a disease we are all becoming too familiar with, Breast Cancer. After enjoying a fun filled family vacation to Lake Placid, Mary found something unusual in her breast, upon further testing it was determined that she has Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, a tumor that has spread into the breast tissue. She had a lumpectomy on August 1, 2019 and found out on August 9th that it has spread to the lymph nodes. She is awaiting pathology results to see  where it may have already spread to. An aggressive approach of chemo and radiation along with a possible hysterectomy is in her near future. Most people close to Mary know that her mother died at the age of 51 of cancer and was taken very quickly from their lives. This disease is all to familiar to her family.
       Mary is in the process of studying to take her exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has spent years working with children and young adults with special needs become more independent in their homes and community.  She is an amazing mother keeping up with football, cheerleading and lacrosse all while working full time along with her husband Paul. Her support system is great but with upcoming medical bills and time needed out of work that will be unpaid, the bills will build up quickly. No one needs that added stress on top of being sick. First and foremost we need everyone’s love, support and prayers! If you are looking to do more but not sure what to do then consider donating here.
