This year has been a whirlwind I never could have imagined.
In January, I ended up in the ER with extreme pain, and doctors discovered extremely large cysts on my ovaries. I had to have emergency surgery to remove them.
During that first surgery, the doctors found something even more devastating—Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) had caused severe damage to my reproductive system. My fallopian tubes were collapsed, and further testing revealed they were also leaking fluid into my abdomen.
The news was heartbreaking:
If I became pregnant naturally, it would almost certainly be ectopic, meaning I would have to terminate for my own safety.
Even in the rare chance it wasn’t ectopic, the leaking fluid would flow back into my uterus and cause miscarriages.
Faced with these risks, I made the difficult decision to undergo another surgery to remove my fallopian tubes entirely—protecting any future baby I might have the chance to carry.
Now, our only path to having a child of our own is through IVF. Unfortunately, IVF is not covered by our insurance, and the cost is about $15,000 out of pocket.
We are determined to fight for our dream of becoming parents, but we can’t do it alone. If you feel led to give, know that your generosity will directly help us take the next step in this journey. Whether it’s through a donation or by simply sharing our story, we are deeply grateful for your support, love, and prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for believing with us.
