The MacIntosh Family Support Fund

"Veronica MacIntosh is the hero of her story."

I first met Veronica on the ice at the Ajax Community Centre when she was just six years old.  Having moved to Canada from Peru, her parents - Rosina and Coco, were told by friends that the girls should learn how to skate.  That was the beginning of a friendship that has truly lasted a lifetime.

It is so difficult to put into words the impact Veronica has had on the lives of those that knew her.  Strength, courage, brave, beautiful and that smile, are only just a few words that come to mind when you think of Veronica.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014.  For the next three years she fought with everything she had.  Looks can be deceiving - from the outside all you saw was her infectious smile and how beautiful she was.  On the inside - the cancer was taking over her body.  

Adam and Veronica have two amazing children - Paige and Conall.  The purpose of this fund is to assist the family and offset the medical bills, funeral costs and educational expenses for Paige and Conall.
