Hi, my name is John, and I'm fundraising for the Lydia Burgos Spanish Scholarship. Lydia was a beloved Spanish teacher in the Westside School District from 1972 to 1998. She taught all levels of students, from elementary to middle school to high school. Lydia ended her memorable career teaching Advanced Spanish to students at Westside High School. She passed away in 2019. The scholarship is dedicated to her memory and is meant to continue her outstanding legacy of kindness, friendship and love for the Spanish language and culture.
