Dear CGPS Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that Lourdes Rivera, our beloved recently retired receptionist, passed away yesterday, January 20. Over her incredible three decades of dedicated service to our community, Lourdes was a beacon of light at CGPS. Prep School Director, Ms. Joanie Dean remembered Lourdes for “touching the lives of thousands of students, teachers, staff, parents and everyone who walked through our doors. She brought joy, laughter and love to our community every day.” We are so grateful that her kindness and smile graced our lives for so long.
Simply put, our School is a better place because of Lourdes. Every day, she lived a basic tenet of community building: when you work hard and put your heart into supporting each other, incredible things will follow. We can honor her legacy by practicing her model daily.
This page has been set up for members of our community who would like to assist Lourdes’s children, Wanda, Emilio and last but not least Jariel, who was a student at CGPS.
All proceeds will go to Lourdes's children to cover funeral and medical expenses.
