The Lotus Team Wythenshawe Hospital

In memory of our baby boy, Sonny Wood. ☀️⭐️✨

As some of you may know, Rebecca and myself welcomed our twin boys, Sebastian and Sonny into the world on the 13th of June this year. Unfortunately our Sonny passed away, an hour after his birth, peacefully in my arms. To say we are devastated by this, would be an understatement and it has been, by far the most traumatic time we have been through in our lives so far.

I will be running the Manchester marathon in 2025 - dedicated to the Lotus Team at Wythenshawe Hospital.

We will forever be grateful for the most heartfelt and comforting care we received during our pregnancy and our stay at the hospital. They cared for and looked after Sonny and nothing was ever too much for them. The women on the Lotus team are doing the most difficult job, day in, day out caring for families in similar situations and are criminally underfunded whilst doing so. They are real life angels. We could not thank them enough, however we would like to try and raise as much money as possible to help them carry on giving the best care possible to bereaved families.

Hopefully sharing mine and Rebecca’s story will bring some good to others, as we have found that families go through devastating situations like us, more than we could believe and it is such a taboo subject.
