Help Reunite Lost Pets with Owners
My dog Buddy was lost on May 3, 2022, when the Handyman left the gate open. He's chipped and registered. Whoever has Buddy needs to do the right thing and have him scanned.
The sad part about this story is some people don't know about microchips, registration or scanning. They take lost animals and care for them as theirs thinking they are doing the right thing, while grieving owners are left helpless.
Buddy's loss is the driving force behind Scan Lost Animals, Inc. Our Vision is to get all lost animals scanned for a chip and returned to their owners. We aim to make "SCAN LOST ANIMALS" a buzzword in every household nationwide.
Volunteers run Scan Lost Animals, Inc. We are a non-profit 501c3, and all donations are tax-deductible. We do not keep any of the money for ourselves. Every donation is used to purchase universal microchip scanners for our volunteers.
Please visit our website, Scan Lost Animals, to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it. We were newly established in July 2022; we currently have 18 active Scanner Volunteers. Our goal is to put a universal scanner in the hands of many more animal advocates to reunite lost pets with their owners as quickly as possible.
There's a current situation making our jobs even tougher. Due to the abundance of lost and found animals, all shelters, rescues, and fosters are full. Scan Lost Animals, Inc. provides a free community service to quickly scan and reunite lost animals with their owners. We believe this will help minimize the number of animals requiring shelter. We also think a significant part of our work is heightening awareness of the importance of microchipping and registering pets.
Please watch our short video to give you a better idea of why Scan Lost Animals, Inc. was created. Thank you for your consideration, donation and support.
Scan Lost Animals Volunteer Team is called The Buddy System because every lost and found animal we reunite with its owners is done in the name of our beloved lost Buddy.
