I am writing this with a heavy heart, because today, December 13th 2023, one of my very dear friends has lost her mother.

Alicia Charnigo unexpectedly fell into a coma on November 15th. It was determined that she had an anoxic brain injury, and was under hospital care until her untimely death. Her young children Anna (20), and her brothers Jake (23) and Luke (10), are left without the biggest rock in life they had. She was a loving mother and fierce protector, and she would be so proud to know how strong Anna has been for Luke during the last month, stepping into a guardianship role that she was not prepared for.

This is such a sudden and tragic turning point in their lives, and they are now forced to grow up much more quickly than they planned to. Everyone should be given the opportunity to have some relief with the financial aspects that come with death. I understand that times are tough all around, so I thank everyone that takes the time to donate what they can.
