The loss of a loved one: Edward J. Klomp

My name is Mariah Klomp and I'm the youngest daughter of Edward J. Klomp. It hurts my heart to have to write that Ed, my Dad has passed away early this morning on June 10th of 2023. It hurts my heart more to admit we didn't have anything put in place financially for him. We thought we had a bit more time to figure things out. So we are trying to raise enough money to give him a nice funeral or celebration of life and a cremation so his family can have him home and can figure out the rest. No one should have to deal with the financial burden after losing a loved one. So we're trying everything we can.

I did want to add that Ed, my Dad has lived his last year of life at home with me here in Pocatello, his health started to decline incredibly fast about 3 weeks ago and he spent the last 2 weeks at Portneuf Medical Center. He was so happy to be discharged from there and home with us last night, he had a little pizza for dinner and visited with us and smiled at us all and his grandkids, and then went to sleep. He unfortunately just didn't wake up. He had been fighting all of his medical problems for a few years now with more and more appearing so we're at peace knowing he isn't hurting anymore. He was a wonderful man and did so much for others as a locksmith, and firefighter, and entertainer, a friend, a brother, a Dad, a Grandfather and more. Lots of people care about him so I'm hoping this gets out there. I included a photo of him holding his Grandson Bentley that he unfortunately lost in 2014 so maybe they're reunited now.

Although GoFundMe does take a small percentage in order to stay afloat as a company and charity I understand that some people don't like that, so I will be including a few more ways you can help below. I'm also trying to set up a donation fund directly to the funeral home he resides in as of right now so I might add that in a later update too!
