The Long Skate Down
Donation protected
Hey everyone, my name is Daniel Blair and I’m a skateboarder from London. Starting on May 5th, 2026, I will be skateboarding solo from John O' Groats to Lands End, covering a distance of 1000 miles, over 20 days, all to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention.
As someone who has battled with his own mental health challenges, specifically ADHD, I want to use this trip to spread the message that no matter what hurdles you face in life, you can achieve anything.
I am taking on this enormous challenge to support the incredible work of the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). CALM is dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, and providing support for those struggling with mental health issues.
Armed with just a skateboard and a backpack, I am setting out on this journey to spark conversations, break stigma, and make a difference in the lives of those affected by mental health and suicide. Your support and donations will not only help fund the trip but will more importantly help fund CALM’s vital helplines, support services, and outreach programs, all with the aim of creating a society where everyone can openly talk about their struggles and ensuring that nobody has to face their battles alone, knowing that help and understanding are always available.
While I am skating solo, I’d love to invite anyone who shares my passion for this cause to join me along the way. If you want to skate for a few miles, share your stories, or simply show your support, you are more than welcome to be a part of this amazing trip.
I am deeply grateful for any contribution you can make, whether it's big or small. Together, let's raise our voices, spread awareness, and support those in need. Thank you for being a part of this life-changing journey, it means more to me than you will ever know.
