Our family didn’t arrive at adoption all at once, it started as a quiet idea years ago, something we talked about even before we were married. Over time, that idea grew into something we couldn’t ignore. We have been married for 14 years. We’re a family of five, raising three kids, navigating the normal chaos of life, and about a year ago, we realized our home still had room. Not just physically, but emotionally. We began to feel pulled toward welcoming a child who doesn’t currently have that kind of stability or belonging.
As we’ve spent time in Scripture, especially reading the prophets, we’ve been continually reminded of God’s heart for the vulnerable, calling His people to defend, care for, and pursue justice for children. That truth has deeply shaped our conviction that adoption is not just a good thing to do, but a tangible way we can live out our faith.
We believe every child deserves to be known, loved, and part of a family. Adoption isn’t just something we want to do, it’s part of how we feel called to live.
Adoption, for us, is one way of living that out. This journey to adopt from India is both exciting and stretching. It’s unknown, it’s costly, and at times it feels overwhelming, but we believe it’s worth it. Every child deserves to be known, to be safe, and to grow up in a family where they are fully loved.
To help bring our child home, I’ll be running the length of Mississippi, north to south, over four or five days approximately 300 miles. It’s a challenge that will require endurance, support, and a lot of grace along the way. In many ways, it mirrors this entire process: steady steps forward, carrying something bigger than yourself, even when it’s hard.
We’re inviting people into this with us, whether that’s through encouragement, prayer, sharing the story, or helping financially. Your support means the world to us and will help make this dream a reality.
Every child deserves to grow up fully loved. Thank you for being on the journey with us.
