Hi all!

My name is Lucy, a third-year TV production student at the Uni of Gloucestershire, and I am the producer for the 3rd year final film 'The Long Goodbye'

The Long Goodbye is a 12min short film about two friends, where one friend is diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The film follows the idea of two long-term friends coping with the struggles of the disease and the possibility of losing their friendship/memories amongst the hardship.

As someone who has recently lost their grandfather to this disease and is currently facing the same circumstances with their Nan, it is really important to my crew and me to showcase this film in the best way possible, as it is our last year film for our degree, but also to raise awareness to the struggles faced battling this disease, which affects hundreds of people daily.

We are currently underway in pre-production for the film, and so any money will go towards supporting all means of our production, including props, payment of actors, set and costumes!

A portion of the funds will be given to a local charity supporting dementia patients and their families throughout their ongoing struggles with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
