Connecting select design professionals with exciting opportunities that enhance their career in memory of our dear friend Liza Jones.
Liza was known as 'The Connector'. She had a genuine kindness about her and made it her mission to bring people together. Liza lived life with a 'grab the bull by the horns' type of attitude and made every second count. Her courage, strength and determination was fiercely undeniable. On Dec 30th, 2019 Liza lost her battle with cancer at age 59.
Liza died as she lived, with style, grace and humor.
We do not believe Liza would have wanted anyone to mourn her but rather to celebrate her. The love she had for music, fashion, ( cue the leopard print!) travel and DESIGN!
To remember Liza and her undying love for design fairs, trade shows, markets and her beloved #designhounds tours, we are creating The Liza Connection, a fund that supports select design professionals and design influencers who may have never attended a market, who may have fallen on hardship or may not feel comfortable attending on their own.
How it will work:
Design professionals can nominate potential fund recipients by email at [email redacted] year round and tours will be offered to select nominees based on budget availability and available tour/event options.
Destinations will include High Point market, KBIS ( Kitchen and Bath Show) but the goal is to expand the program and add additional destinations that can provide a designer with new inspiration,information, education and most importantly- and opportunity to grow their business to the next level.
