If you know Amber, you have seen how she brings light into every room she walks into.

At 32 weeks of her pregnancy, that light began to dim when she was taken to the hospital having contractions and pre-term labor. Once at the hospital, she was diagnosed with preeclampsia and polyhydramnios. This dangerous diagnosis led to a long 2 week stay in the hospital working to keep her blood pressure down and Eloise growing strong.

Finally, at 34 weeks, her C-section day arrived and Eloise made her debut into this world! (5 weeks early). All was going according to plan as Eloise went to the NICU and Amber woke up from general anesthesia, until Amber started hemorrhaging. She watched as nurses removed clots from her body while losing 4 liters of blood (an average human only has 5). We almost lost our sweet Amber that day.

However, by the hand of Heavenly Father and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at IMC, they took Amber back into surgery to stop the bleeding. After multiple procedures, she was placed in the Shock Trauma ICU and anxiously waited to meet her beautiful Eloise. Like the determined little mama she is, she fought hard and pushed her body to the limit so she could be reunited with Eloise in the NICU.

As Parker and Amber began to celebrate the miracle of their baby girl, Parker received a phone call that he would be losing his job effective immediately.

It’s hard to imagine how this brand new little family HAS and WILL face so many hardships physically, emotionally, and financially especially as Eloise continues to get stronger in the NICU.
