Together we can expand access to homeownership for people priced out, left out, or shut out — and prove that small homes can make a big impact.
The Market Has Left Too Many Behind
Middle-class earners. People with disabilities. Singles on one income. Too many are priced out or overlooked by a housing market designed for someone else’s reality.
We’re here to change that.
Why I Started Little Haven Homes
At Little Haven Homes, I’m building the kind of housing I once searched for—and still hope to live in myself.
My interest in tiny homes began as something personal. Living with a disability, I’ve learned that economy of movement isn’t just a preference, it’s essential to protecting my health and energy. I dreamed of a home that worked with me, not against me: compact, accessible, and thoughtfully designed for real life. What I found instead was a housing market that often treats those needs not just as afterthoughts, but as unrealistic, inconvenient, or even unwelcome.
That experience lit a spark. I realized that what I needed wasn’t just missing from the market - it was missing for many others, too. Little Haven Homes was born from that realization: that small homes and intentional communities could open the door to homeownership for people historically left out because of cost, design, or policy.
Who We’re Building For
- A single mom who works full time but can’t qualify for a traditional mortgage.
- A young adult with a disability who just wants a home designed with them in mind.
- An older neighbor who dreams of aging in place without losing independence.
- Families and individuals who’ve been excluded by policies like redlining and disinvestment.
In short: we’re building for people who deserve more than survival — they deserve the stability, dignity, and belonging that comes with a home of their own.
Why Now?
The need has never been greater — and the opportunity has never been more real.
We are standing at a pivotal moment in the housing landscape: where rising costs, outdated zoning laws, and systemic exclusion have converged to push homeownership even further out of reach for low-income and disabled households. At the same time, growing momentum around small-scale development, zoning reform, and accessibility is opening doors that have been closed for decades. This is a rare window of opportunity — one we cannot afford to miss.
Little Haven Homes is ready to move from vision to reality. Our innovation lies in the synthesis of three powerful elements, brought together in a model designed for real-world impact:
- A holistic approach that tackles affordability, accessibility, and community-building simultaneously — recognizing that housing challenges don’t exist in silos.
- Accessibility modifications offered at no additional cost, removing a major barrier for many disabled individuals and making homeownership a truly viable option.
- Community-driven design using pocket neighborhoods that foster connection, belonging, and mutual support among residents.
Early-stage funding is the only thing standing between us and breaking ground. Your support today won’t just help us build homes — it will bring a new kind of housing solution into the world. One that can scale. One that can change lives. Funders at this stage don’t just contribute — they become catalysts in a national movement for housing justice.
What We’re Building
Little Haven Homes is more than a housing project — it’s proof of a better way forward. We’re building small, affordable, and accessible homes arranged in pocket neighborhoods designed for connection, dignity, and belonging.
Our first development will show what’s possible when you combine people-first design with innovative thinking:
- Homes built for real life — affordable, adaptable, and thoughtfully designed.
- Accessibility built-in, not bolted on — modifications for mobility, sensory, or cognitive needs offered at no extra cost during design/build.
- Neighborhoods rooted in care — shared green space, pedestrian-friendly layouts, and homes clustered for safety and connection.
- Ownership-first pathways — because stability shouldn’t only belong to the wealthy or able-bodied.
- Flexible financing options — fairer approval processes so lower-income or nontraditional buyers have a real shot at ownership.
This isn’t just about housing. It’s about changing the system — proving that affordable, accessible homeownership is possible. Your support helps us build the very first one.
How You Can Help
Your gift directly fuels the first Little Haven community. Every dollar gets us closer to breaking ground:
$50 → helps cover the early outreach that brings future residents into the process.
$100 → supports the planning sessions with architects and designers who make homes both affordable and accessible.
$250 → funds essential legal and permitting costs so we can secure land for the neighborhood.
$500 → accelerates the detailed site and architectural plans that turn a vision into blueprints.
Any amount → becomes part of a collective movement to prove homeownership is possible for those who’ve been left out.
When you give, you’re not just funding paperwork or planning. You’re helping lay the foundation for stability, belonging, and dignity for every future homeowner in Little Haven.
