The Lichtenberg Family

Donation protected

Tuesday, May 25th changed their lives forever. An incident occurred at the babysitters which led to this traumatic brain injury.

Elsie was knocked unconscious and had a seizure. Paramedics were called and took her to the nearest hospital. A few hours later she was airlifted to St. Louis Children's Hospital. During that time she had at least 2 additional seizures. She sustained a skull fracture, bleeding and severe swelling within her brain and brain damage throughout the entirety of the right side of her brain, and swelling in her neck. She's currently in a medically induced coma and has a tube in her brain to drain CSF fluid to lessen the intracranial pressure. The doctor's have stressed the significance of her brain injury will be substantial due to the damage being throughout all the layers of every part of the right side of her brain.

As Brad’s friend and a father of four, this story really hit home for me. While their family’s future is unknown, including what permanent damage  there will be and how long will Elsie be in the hospital there is no doubt going to be medical bills that will come from this accident. Hopefully we all can help this family at a time of need. Please donate whether it’s large or small it is appreciated. Thank you
