Good Day Dear Community,

We come to you with a humble plea, seeking help during a difficult time. We are a family of five with three beautiful boys and we desperately need your support. My husband Francois, has been fighting to preserve his eyesight after suffering from retinal detachments in both eyes, leading to several emergency surgeries over the past few months. Despite our hopes for recovery, his ophthalmologist has informed us that he still needs more time and treatment.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we find ourselves in a tough position. Both of us are currently unemployed and we are without medical aid to cover the cost of his upcoming eye surgery in March 2025.

I wish I could be standing before you to share our story in person, but I know this is a community of compassionate individuals, and it is better to reach out for help than to struggle in silence. The cost of the surgery and follow-up care is around $15 000, which we must pay out of pocket. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and help us move forward in this time of need. Please also share our story with friends and family, the more hands the lighter the load.
