Gosh, I don’t even know where to start. I hate to place our financial situations out there, but with Dan being off work for months, the bills don’t stop coming in.

Our family is asking for your help and support please!

So let me start out by saying just a few quick words about my husband Daniel. Dan is our family’s rock and sole supporter. He has been a firefighter in our town for many years. He gives so much and helps anytime he can. Unfortunately, Dan was injured and had to have back surgery at 36 years old. The surgery seemed to go great and Dan was beginning to feel good again. Well, on October 25th (his birthday) he had to be admitted into the hospital again because of a CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) leak. The surgeon moved forward with putting in a lumbar drain port to try to divert the leak away from the original surgery site. The first attempt failed and so he was sent to the OR again with anesthesia. After successful placement, Dan was put on an 86 hour Flat bed rest with no movement to attempt to allow the leak to heal itself. On Halloween Dan was released back home once again on bed rest and very minimal activity. Since being released he has had severe pressure headaches and significant pain, but he said it’s probably just normal. After speaking to on call docs every day and they all said these headaches are very normal after a CSF LEAK. Sunday was the day for us to remove the bandage so Dan could shower and feel normal again. Unfortunately, once we removed it the surgical site was extremely swollen and was again leaking spinal fluid. Poor Dan is now back in the hospital and will be having his 4th surgery to try to repair these leaks. So with all of this being said we are asking for your help. Dan will be off work for a very extended period of time and with him being our sole supporter for our family things have been a bit tough. If you could find it in your heart to donate anything it would be so greatly appreciated. Dan has been very hard on himself over all of this and I just wanted to give this a try. We are not ones to ask for help really ever, unless it’s lifting or moving something lol but never financially. Anything can and will make a huge difference and help us tremendously.
