On October 9, 2025, a devastating fire destroyed much of the Caribou Village Shopping Center in Nederland, Colorado — including The Laundry Room, the town’s only laundromat and a vital service for our mountain community.
For years, The Laundry Room has provided an essential space for residents, families, and visitors who rely on its washers and dryers — especially those living off-grid or without home laundry access. The loss of this business impacts not just its owners, but the entire community that depends on it.
Tim Dumke and his team are now facing the difficult task of rebuilding from total loss. They hope to eventually restore laundry access to the area, whether through temporary machines or a new long-term space, but they need help to begin that process.
Your donations will help with:
- Replacing destroyed equipment and supplies
- Covering immediate recovery and setup costs
- Exploring temporary solutions to restore laundry services for Nederland
Even small contributions will make a difference in helping bring back an essential service that supports everyday life in our community.
Let’s come together to help The Laundry Room rebuild and keep Nederland clean, connected, and cared for.
