Our Pitch Video

The Last Goodnight is a powerful short film about love, loss, and the final moments that define us. Set in a bedroom at night, it follows Mark and Olivia—married for twenty years—as they face their last night together. Mark is terminally ill, and Olivia refuses to leave his side. Their story is not just about grief, but about revisiting a lifetime of memories, humor, heartbreak, and devotion. This film is for anyone who has loved deeply, lost deeply, or stood beside someone in their final chapter. By supporting this project, you help us bring a small, intimate story to life—one that aims to comfort, connect, and resonate with audiences who have faced similar moments.

Pancreatic cancer research is deeply important to me as the director of The Last Goodnight. This story exists to honor those who fight, those we’ve lost, and the urgent need for progress. All proceeds from the premiere will be donated to pancreatic cancer research, so your support will make a real impact beyond the film itself.

Our Cast: René Zara
René Zara brings extraordinary emotional depth to the role of Olivia, blending vulnerability, intelligence, and strength. Her performance will capture the quiet complexities of a woman navigating love, reflection, and the weight of a final night.

Writer/Director: Rob Levinson
As founder of Out of Time Pictures, I’ve spent years telling stories rooted in character, emotion, and human truth. The Last Goodnight is one of my most personal and emotionally resonant films yet—a tribute to love in its most fragile, honest form.

Cinematographer: Ben Heald
Ben Heald is a New England–based cinematographer whose work combines technical precision and emotional storytelling. His experience on projects like the Academy Award–winning film CODA brings a collaborative, performance-driven approach to our film’s visual style.

Composer: Tommy Denander
World-renowned composer Tommy Denander brings an elevated level of artistry to our score. His emotionally rich compositions and previous collaboration with me on Ramirez ensure a soundtrack that is both compelling and deeply resonant.
