The Last First Date Short Film Donations
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Toby Horton, and I’m a third-year Screen Production student at Murdoch University. I’m directing a short film titled The Last First Date as part of my graduating project, and I’d love your support in helping us bring this story to life.
The 'Last First Date' is a grounded, emotionally driven short film about memory, love, and letting go. At first glance, it follows two young people on what appears to be an ordinary first date, but as the conversation unfolds, subtle cracks reveal something deeper and more fragile beneath the surface.
This story is about grief, not in its loudest form, but in its quietest. It explores what happens when someone holds on to the past too tightly, and the gentle, sometimes painful process of learning to let go. It’s a reflection on how we process loss, how we preserve those we love in memory, and the beauty in finally accepting that memories are meant to be carried forward, not lived within.
Our GoFundMe is open to anyone willing to support our film. Your donations, big or small, will help cover essential production costs.
- All donations will go towards the budget of our film. Your donations will help feed our cast and crew, secure locations, purchase and manufacture props and costumes and anything to enhance the story to bring it into reality. Any support from the community, whether financial or simply sharing the fundraiser, helps us tell this story with the care and detail it deserves.
Thank you so much for supporting student filmmakers and for helping us bring 'The Last First Date' to life. We can’t wait to share it with you.
