We are looking for help in taking care of my mother, Cindy, and her end-of-life services. She was admitted to the hospital at the beginning of May and was diagnosed with stage 4 liver failure and non-alcoholic cirrhosis. For the last month and a half, we have been hoping she could get well enough to continue outpatient care and come home to be with us and her dog, Coco, and cat, Loki. She was doing so well and looking good last Saturday. Somehow after that, however, her condition rapidly declined, and she was admitted back to the hospital on Wednesday with elevated ammonia levels due to the liver failure and pneumonia on top of it. The doctors have been working tirelessly to try and get her better, but to no avail. She was intubated over the weekend, and her kidneys have started to fail as well, to the point we had to start dialysis yesterday. Today we received the news that at this stage her condition is not looking good and that we need to begin the hospice preparations. Any help or generosity you can give would be greatly appreciated.
