THE LAST DANCE AT PAVILION GRILLE
After almost 18 years in business, we’ve had to make a very painful decision. As many of our loyal customers already know, the Pavillion Grille will be closing permanently at the end of May.
We prayed for a post Covid recovery, but it just never happened. We’ve been paying higher rent, higher grocery bills and much higher staff expenses and can’t shoulder these increased costs any longer.
John and I funded the operation of the restaurant post Covid through our savings. Unfortunately, we can’t cover the remaining expenses from ongoing business alone. We need to reach out to friends and family of the Pavilion for additional help.
Any banquets and parties scheduled after May will require full refunds as well as their security deposits. We still need to pay our staff and sale tax, food, alcohol and supply bills. These alone total over $70,000.
This has been a tremendous burden on our finances and our health. The emotional impact of losing the Pavilion is immeasurable – it’s been more than just a business, but a sacred space where we’ve made so many dear friends.
We have informed our staff several weeks ago, knowing they’ll need time to find new jobs. They understood how difficult this is and have appreciated our transparency. We care about them like family members and wish them great success in the future.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. We tried our best to make every night a memorable, magical one. We wish all the best to every life we’ve touched.
John and I sincerely hope that some of you can help us in this difficult time. Any contribution, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
